Introduced in April 2017, ISO 18587 is a worldwide standard to address the increasing adoption and use of machine translation (MT) systems by translation service providers (TSPs). Given that MT systems are not dynamic and sophisticated enough to equal the quality and accuracy of human translation, physical post-editing is required to ensure a quality final translated product. The focus of the ISO 18587 standard begins with the delivery of MT output, through the human task of post-editing, and is intended for use by TSPs, their clients, and post-editors.<\/p>
