    Under ISO 9000:2015, a<\/span> Nonconformity is the \u201cNon-fulfilment of a requirement\u201d. These requirements can be those from a standard, scheme holder, Orion or a company\u2019s internal requirement. For identified nonconformities, the auditor must classify them as a Minor or Major Nonconformity.<\/p>


    <\/p>\n

    Minor NCR<\/strong>
    According to ISO 17021-1, a minor nonconformity does not affect the capability of the management system to achieve the intended results. For example, suppose a company planned to fully complete their internal audit by September and was delayed for a valid reason. In that case, the may be classified as a Minor provided the management system was effective and the process managed.<\/p>


    <\/p>\n

    Major NCR<\/strong>
    Major nonconformities, on the other hand, are defined as Nonconformity that affects the capability of the management system to achieve the intended results.(ISO 17021-1)<\/p>\n

    Note:<\/strong> Nonconformities could be classified as a major in the following circumstances:<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    Examples include:<\/span><\/span>
    – a total breakdown of the system, control or procedure is observed;<\/span>

    To build on the example above, if the internal were not done and there was no valid reason given, there is no way to valid the process controls are in place and effective.<\/p>

    As part of the NCR process, you will need to implement a correction to\u00a0eliminate<\/u>\u00a0the detected Nonconformity followed by a root cause and corrective action to\u00a0eliminate the cause<\/u>\u00a0of the Nonconformity.<\/p>
