17100: Translations Services Management
The ISO 17100 is the internationally recognized standard for Translation Service Providers (TSPs). With the intent to define the actions necessary for the delivery of a quality translation service, the standard includes minimum service delivery and competency requirements for all personnel involved.
The Orion Difference
We consolidate audits to save time, cost and disruption.
At Orion, we’ve established a process that allows us to combine standard audits – saving you money and time while adding long-term value to your company’s reputation.
Why not combine your ISO 17100 assessment with ISO 13611, CGSB 131.10 and NSGCIS. Contact us today to learn more.
The ISO 17100 standard is comprised of the following main sections:
- Resources – Defines the responsibilities and competency requirements for translators, revisers and project managers.
- Pre-production – Specifies the requirements for quoting and entering into an agreement.
- Production – Ensures the appropriate workflow is defined and managed, and customer needs are met.
- Post-production – Requires that the TSP validate customer requirements have been met and takes action to correct deficiencies if applicable.
Realizing that TSPs can vary in size and complexities, the principles in ISO 17100 can be applied to any organization.
